BUILDING YOUR SPREADSHEET
Courses can be created in batches using a spreadsheet in .csv format.
A .csv template is available for download from this page.
Required Fields:
- ID: A unique identifier created by the admin (can be left blank).
- The ID for each session must be unique.
- If you have multiple course sessions sharing the same ID, you may want to put "-1", "-2", etc. at the end of each session's ID number.
- If you used the same ID in a previous term or school year, you should add the year number to your ID. You should not reuse the same (identical) ID from year to year.
- The ID for each session must be unique.
- Course Name: This is the basic name of the course (e.g., Biology).
- Term: Select the Corresponding Term Period.

Session Name: This is a unique name for this specific section.
- Example:
- Biology – Period 1
- Biology – Period 2

Please mirror all column headers (case sensitive) and fill in the rows as pictured below. (All spreadsheets must be saved as a .csv comma delimited file type.)
IMPORTING YOUR SPREADSHEET
Once your spreadsheet is complete and formatted correctly, follow the steps below to import your .csv file into the back office.
- Go to Manage -> Course Sessions/Classes.
- Click Bulk Operations.
- Click Import Sessions.
- Click Upload, then select the spreadsheet containing the required Course information.
- Click Continue. The system will begin uploading your file.
- Once the batch import is complete, you will see a results section showing the number of courses created successfully, as well as any error messages.

- In this example, the upload was unsuccessful, because the system does not contain a Teacher account with the Instructor Email address(es) entered in the left column.
- In this example, the upload was unsuccessful, because the system does not contain a Teacher account with the Instructor Email address(es) entered in the left column.
- In the event of a failed upload, you can download and edit your spreadsheet by clicking Export Results.
